Our name says it all. At ASVG Internal Medicine & Emergency/Critical Care, we provide advanced internal medicine services as well as around-the-clock emergency medical care to critically ill canine and feline patients. Our focus is to augment—not replace—your ongoing care of patients, serving as a trusted resource to extend your practice’s capabilities.

How do we work with referring veterinarians?

Collaboratively. You can expect to receive prompt, thorough communication from our team. We’re happy to speak with you about a patient before, during, or after their visit to us.

Whether you referred the patient or your client brought their pet here directly, you can rely on us to send you all records related to your patient’s visit as soon as they’re complete. Plus, when we discharge a patient, we always urge the pet owner to follow up with you for ongoing care.

In addition, we have dedicated client service staff whose job is to ensure that you, your patients, and your clients get the personalized attention, continuity of care, and high level of service that each of you deserves. We care, in every sense of the word. 

How is AVSG IMERCC equipped to ensure the highest level of care?

Our emergency facility is fully equipped and staffed to perform diagnostics and interpret results quickly and accurately. Our resources include:

• In-house diagnostic imaging including digital radiography, CT, and ultrasound
• An onsite laboratory for fast results
• State-of-the-art surgery suite for performing advanced surgeries and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures
• Sophisticated intra- and postoperative monitoring capabilities
• A state-of-the-art, fully staffed ICU headed by a board-certified criticalist

Plus, because of our location and long-term relationships, we can provide direct access to board-certified veterinary specialists in surgery (VSSOC), cardiology, oncology, neurology, ophthalmology, and dermatology, if needed. You will be notified if additional care is recommended.

To help us efficiently treat your patients and manage client expectations, we ask that you please call us or complete the referral form below. On discharge, we’ll send you all case information and update you on your patient’s prognosis.
