In September 2021, AVSG After Hours became AVSG Urgent Care. Over time, the demand for internal medicine and urgent care services began to grow so dramatically that we expanded our team, bringing on a board-certified veterinary internist and additional emergency veterinarians. In October 2022, we renamed the practice AVSG Internal Medicine & Urgent Care.
In March 2025, we once again responded to the needs of our community by transitioning our urgent care services to 24/7 emergency/critical care. This expansion allows us to provide unparalleled options for pets in the Orange County, California area and beyond. With an exceptional team of highly trained and experienced veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and client service representatives, we are now able to support our community like never before.
It’s also important to note that we are part of a family of practices, all under the same ownership and located within the same medical complex. Our internal medicine and emergency/critical care teams work alongside our surgical department – Veterinary Surgical Specialists of Orange County, the largest and most experienced group of board-certified veterinary surgeons in the region. And, if needed, we also have access to board-certified experts in cardiology, oncology, and dermatology, ensuring your pet receives comprehensive, world-class care—all in one convenient location.
