Our emergency/critical care services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. No appointment is necessary. Please call ahead of your visit if possible, 949-653-9300, so we can prepare for your arrival.

From time to time our hours may be modified. Please click here to view our Google page and any updated hours of operation.

Do I need to call ahead for emergency care?

No. But if time permits, we’d appreciate it if you could call us at 949-653-9300 prior to your arrival so we can be fully prepared for your visit, particularly if our caseload is especially high.

Clinical Questions

What if my pet needs surgery?

Our emergency veterinarians are trained and equipped to perform many surgeries. In addition, thanks to our surgical department (Veterinary Surgical Specialists of Orange County, or VSSOC), which is the region’s largest and most experienced group of board-certified veterinary surgeons, we’re able to give your pet fast, efficient access to top-quality surgical care if specialized surgical expertise is needed. VSSOC is located just across the parking lot from our building.

What if my pet’s condition requires care by a board-certified veterinary specialist?

In addition to emergency care overseen by a board-certified specialist in emergency care (called a criticalist), and internal medicine services, we can provide streamlined access to veterinary specialists in cardiology, dermatology, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, and surgery right here in our medical complex.

Payment Information

How much do you charge?

Because each patient’s situation is unique, costs vary depending on the extent of diagnostic testing and your pet’s treatment plan. You will always be given an estimate for the cost of consultations and/or treatments before care is provided.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We offer many choices for payment, including cash, checks, debit cards, and most major credit cards. We also offer financing through CareCredit and Scratch Pay, which are third-party payment plans for qualified applicants.

Do you accept pet insurance?

We work closely with all pet insurance providers and strongly encourage pet families to insure their pets before emergency treatment is needed. If you have pet health insurance, our staff will help you complete and submit the claim form for timely reimbursement.
